Temenos: Mermaids

Nereida

Our Temenos' principal Undine, Nereida, is better known in the mortal realms as Debbie D: The Ultimate Fantasy Queen.

Debbie started her career as a singer and songwriter, but always dabbled in acting and modeling. While in her school years, she was the lead singer for many bands that toured up and down the east coast. Debbie D made her first record called 'I Want You In My Life' which has sold all around the world. She has been written up in Billboard magazine as 'having a sweet voice'. Debbie D continues to write songs and is looking for collaborators to bring them to life.

While having her pictures taken for her record cover, photographer Bill Arthur liked her look and put her photo in a trade model magazine. Falcon Video of New York responded to her photo and asked her to appear in their horror film, which led to makuing three more films with them. She has since made films and videos with other companies.

WAVE Productions has Debbie D in several of their movies. Her striking beauty and her willingness to attempt almost any part is a great attribute to her talents. Debbie D also has her own line of videos produced through New Faces Productions, which also produces her custom video work.

Debbie D loves to keep in physical shape, and she does so by attending aerobic and power step classes at least twice a week. Debbie D maintains a petite, yet very athletic body, with measurements of a 36C bust, a 24 inch waist and 36 inch hips. Debbie D has long, brown hair and dark brown eyes.

During a photo modeling segment, a photographer draped a sequined material over the legs of a reclining Debbie D. The sequins looked like, and naturally fell into place, as a fish tail with the sequins looking like fish scales. Debbie D has always been a swimmer. She could swim before she could walk and sing before she could talk and always identified with Mermaids.

After that day the Mermaid image became her icon and remains what she is best known for.

She appears each year in the annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade in New York as the 'Brown Haired Mermaid'.

After having several photos published as The Brown Haired Mermaid, Debbie D was contacted by Mr. Ronn Foss, the creator of Destiny, to find out if Debbie D would be the model and spokesperson for his creation. Debbie D was thrilled at the prospect of becoming the first Vampire Mermaid and she now has appeared on television as well as in live comic book videos as Destiny - Vampire Mermaid. Debbie D appears in every issue of 'Scary Monsters' magazine, in both her artist drawing comic book form and with 'in the flesh' photos of her as Destiny - Vampire Mermaid.
