In one alternate reality Hercules incarnates as Thor the Barbarian and wanders the concrete canyons of New York City pre-September 11, 2001. From a tall building in downtown Brooklyn he watches the toppling of the Twin Towers and the destruction of his familiar reality.

In another reality he meets the savage incarnation of Athena, known as Muninn, post-September 11th and together they migrate to the untamed wilds of rural Pennsylvania. There they carve out a unique niche for themselves and live a simple, but happy life in the woods.

In yet another reality, their world in Pennsylvania is destroyed in 2012.
