Although the Totemic Lion has accompanied me throughout my entire life, other beasts have stepped to the foreground at various points, or during various stages, of my terrestrial sojourn.

During the majority of my fourth decade, the Sabertooth was my dominant feline Spirit Animal. Under his wise tutelage I re-embraced several roles and spheres of life that I believed were behind me. My soul, which always felt most at home in the Realms of Air, where it flew free, finally touched the Earth Realm. And, despite my many misgivings, I was truly glad after it did.  

His job done, Sabertooth retreated into the deeper recesses of my being, where he now resides. I can always sense him, and he still visits on occasion.

The prehistoric cat's legacy still lives on through a Facebook Group called Sabertooth's Pride. You can join it by clicking on the Menu link to the right. Before being on FB, the Pride had its own interactive website. Earlier still, it began life as a Yahoo Group.

My wife Athena Victory started all the virtual Sabertooth's Pride groups, populated them with content and filled them with interesting people who shared our passion and interest in the felidae. She still moderates the group on social media. Though it will continue to exist as its own entity, the members of Sabertooth's Pride will always be welcome to join our new Pride.
