I was pleasantly surprised by Will Raee's Alien Gods documentary. The writer and producer allowed each of his subjects to express their views and provided us with a good introduction to modern-day groups that are guided by revelations from UFO occupants. 

My old friends from Unarius, my newer friends from the Aetherius Society and Urantia, and the controversial Raelians (with whom I have not yet interacted) are well represented in this film.

The shadow of Heaven's Gate and The Solar Temple looms over the production, briefly, but this work does not explore that darkness in any depth. Instead it focuses on the distinct messages of the groups visited.

A brief overview of the history of UFOs and the Ancient Astronaut theory are provided for context. Experts, representing various points of view, contribute their own perspectives, making this work a well rounded introduction to what some call the Contactee Movement.

Definitely worth a watch and deserving of occasional refresher viewings.
