New England's Better Business Bureau website has a lot of useful information, and warns: 'Don't Be Swindled by a Solar Energy Scam This Summer'.

In most Solar Mythologies the Descent into the Underworld is a major, and transformative, event in the Solar Hero's archetypal journey. Triumphant re-emergence is celebrated as a rebirth into a higher, and more exalted, estate. A wider, more aerial, perspective is also gained as the initiate ascends.

But in some parts of the world, mostly desert areas, the sun, though a light-bringer, remains a dark force. He is not viewed as a life-sustaining protector at all, but as an oppressive tyrant whose fierce and fiery gaze sternly judges, and punishes, all of life.

Sun symbols have also been used as emblems by groups with dark intent, staining their usage forever after. For instance, the Swastika, in use since prehistoric times as a symbol of the Sun's Journey and Good Fortune, is now associated with racial hatred, death camps and genocide. 

My exploration of the 'dark side' of the emerging Solar Technologies came earlier than I expected, and much earlier than I would have liked, but I gladly accepted the initiatic invitation when it presented itself. 

As Phoenix strongly championed one particular perspective, and I now needed to understand others, I thanked him for all that he endeavored to teach me and wished him well on his own unique Solar journey.
