Olympians: Poseidon: Earth Shaker
Though not about our favorite lost continent, the 5th Volume of Olympians, by New York Times Best-Selling Author George O'Connor, is an excellent introduction to the mythology of Poseidon, Lord of the Waters and Father of Atlantis.
Depicted, in epic style, are: The birth of Poseidon and his dreams while imprisoned within the bowels of All-Devouring Kronos, his emancipation and the Titanomachy, the division of the Realms by lot and his affinity with Elemental Water, his many loves and the monstrous nature of his children, his competitiveness with his niece Athena and their short-lived alliance against the rule of Zeus.
The myths are related out of sequence. They ebb, flow, and swirl around, broodingly hinting at much greater depth and mystery, much like the Olympian whose legends they recount. The author reveals that this was a difficult volume to complete, and that it took many attempts to capture the mood, and convey the nature, of the Earth Shaker.
This tome further enhances George O'Connor's Olympians series and is a great addition to any mythic library or collection of graphic novels.
