Twilight of Atlantis
Avalanch Press Ltd
Twilight of Atlantis is a gaming resource for the d20 RPG System published under Wizards of the Coast's Open Game Licensing agreement.
Using Plato's Atlantis as a foundation, this guide incorporates Greek Mythology, Mediterranean history, eclectic esoteric and conventional fantasy elements to create a setting in which many exciting Atlantean adventures can unfold.
One can choose to experience this world as a human, like the Athenians, Spartans, and Egyptians, an undead Orphean, or a semi-divine Atlanteans, a descendant of Poseidon. Non-human choices include the feline Bastai, the reptilian Lemurians and the furry Mue. All of these can also serve as monsteries or enemies.
Scylla, Charybdys and Circe, best known from the Odyssey of Homer, and the Pillars of Atlantis pose the greatest threats to travel.
Magic systems with a strong Olympian flavor, mythic illustrations, and several adventure ideas to get you started complete this well-thought-out product.
The Atlantis of our current Age of Atlantis RPG Campaign, though it evolved from similar roots, produced a quite different gaming reality over decades of play. It may be interesting to introduce some of the elements in this booklet to shake things up a bit.
