Plato (420s-340s BCE)

Plato was a student of Socrates, a philosopher and a mathematician. He was the Founder of the Academy, the first Institution of Higher Learning in the Western World. He also taught Aristotle, had a school of thought named after him and wrote many Dialogues.


Two of these, the Timaeus and Critias, introduced the Atlantis legend to Greece.


The narrative ends abruptly in the second tome and leaves many questions unanswered,
