I entered this world on a Sunday and am very much a Sunday's Child. The Solar Orb, Solar Heroes and Solar Totems all play a prominent role in my personal mythology.


As mythic strong men and noble felines already inspire my workouts, I felt that it was long overdue to introduce the power of the Sun itself into my routines. I chose to start with Ilchi Lee's The Solar Body.


As Leo is the Solar sign in the Zodiac, it is meet that I begin begin this journey during the reign of the lion in the Heavens. The Solar Body promises to powerfully reconnect the practitioner with the life force itself and to promote natural healing.



Week One: 7/22/17 - 7/29/17: Toe Tapping
I skimmed through then began reading the book to become more familiar with the contents. I  chose to integrate one meditation, outlook or exercise per week into my daily routine until I had experimented with them all. In Week One: Toe Tapping.

Week Two: 7/30/17 - 8/5/17: Sage
Week One's Toe Tapping continues and I have started integrating some Sage into my dietary intake as it is identified as a beneficial Solar herb by Ichi Lee.

Week Three: 8/6/17 - 8/12/17: Deep Breathing
Week Three's task will be to modify my existing Deep Breathing exercises to better support my new Solar Body practice.

Week Four: 8/13/17 - 8/19/17: Minding Inner Temperature
I am chewing on Sage leafs from Athena's garden (or drinking Mountain Sage tea from Hellas) daily. Toe Tapping is now part of my daily workout. My deep breathing involves golden-white Solar Light. In Week Four I will start becoming increasingly more aware of my Inner Temperature, an essential aspect of Solar Body practice.

Week Five: 8/20/17 - 8/26/17: Observing with my Mind
In Week Five I continued all previous practices and focused my mind on Observing my Breathing and Inner Temperature.

Week Six: 8/27/17 - 9/2/17: Embracing the Sun in my Body
In Week Six  I will continue as above while familiarizing myself with the three principal components of the Solar Body Method.

Week Seven: 9/3/17 - 9/9/17: Solar Meditation
I have added Sage Essential Oil and smudging with Sage to my Solar Body practice. I have also started spending more time outside to bask in the sun's rays while in a meditative state of mind.

Week Eight: 9/10/17 - 9/16/17: Plate Balancing
I continue with the daily Solar practices I have been following for the past two months and add Plate Balancing.
