Mythic Physique: 2017 Workout & Diet Diary
JANUARY 2017
I read and reviewed Greg Sushinsky's Training the Steve Reeves Way. I started experimenting by cutting back on my training frequency as well as my number of reps in each set, as Steve Reeves did. This was difficult for me to do.
FEBRUARY 2017
As described in Training the Steve Reeves Way, I changed the angle and intensity of my movements while working out. I read and reviewed Greg Sushinsky's Eating the Steve Reeves Way. Attempted hydrating differently and adding two protein-powder meals to my daily diet. Started a Dynamic Tension (R) cycle to increase my body awareness and establish a solid foundation on which to build. I also started re-reading Ecstatic Body Postures by Belinda Gore.MARCH 2017
A Moment in Time by George Helmer has been reviewed and I am extracting Life Lessons to ponder and apply. I am continuing with Training the Steve Reeves Way and Eating the Steve Reeves Way. For March I am integrating adaptations of Steve Reeves' Favorite Exercises and applying the rest of his Principles. I will also strive for more variety in the staples of my High Protein/High Fat diet, as suggested. My Charles Atlas, Ltd Dynamic Tension (R) Argosy continues and I am integrating a new Ecstatic Body Posture exercise and a Seven Mighty Elohim meditation into my routine.Larger Than Life Living in the World Today

My cycle for the Charles Atlas, Ltd Dynamic Tension (R) course ends and I take a brief break. I continue with my new Ecstatic Body Posture routines and Seven Mighty Elohim meditation. I find new ways to apply insights and techniques from A Moment in Time by George Helmer, Training the Steve Reeves Way and Eating the Steve Reeves Way by Greg Sushinski. I continue experimenting with my High Protein/High Fat diet.JUNE 2017
I perform my standard routines, which have been modified by insights from Steve Reeves, and reflect upon what I have learned. My Ecstatic Body Posture exercises and my Seven Mighty Elohim have also been fully integrated into my workout. I reduce the duration and intensity of my workouts and give my body a break. I also re-visit The Strength of Samson by Michael H. Brown for further insights on becoming more like the legendary muscle-men of old.JULY 2017
The 2017 Mount Olympus Fitness Challenge is launched and I enter the contest with enthusiasm. I return to the strictest version of my High Fat/High Protein/Low Carb diet and engage in a longer and much more intense version of my modified workout. Results are quick to come. As the month closes I approach the Bronze Award and feel great. As I am getting noticeable results I plan on staying the current course until I hit the inevitable plateau. With diet and exercise plans in place, and working, I will next focus on integrating other ancient elements into this Quest for a Mythic Physique, Optimal Physical Wellness, Self Actualization and Creative Self-Expression. I will begin with To Walk with Lions and cultivate my regal leonine qualities. With The Solar Body I will seek to reconnect with the Source of All Life. And with The Healing Art of Essential Oils my quest will take me into previously untried territory.AUGUST 2017
